Our Story

The Echo Building was built in 1903 to house the Sea Coast Echo Newspaper and is one of the best examples of early 20th Century architecture on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

In 2005, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Ann Tidwell and her family began the arduous journey to restore the historic structure, working tirelessly to reclaim original beaded boards and expose the massive wooden beams to create a rustic charm.
